We understand the value of your time so we are committed to being prompt with our scheduled appointments. However, emergencies may cause an unexpected delay. Whenever possible, we try to contact you if a delay is anticipated. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

As a courtesy, we always provide appointment reminder calls. If we are unable to contact you, your appointment card will serve as the confirmation of your appointment. If you are going to be delayed or miss your appointment, please call us as soon as possible. Forty-eight hours notice on an appointment cancellation allows us to better serve our entire practice, including you. A charge will be assessed for failed appointments without a 24-hour notice.


If you have a problem that requires further evaluation or treatment, we will refer you to a specialist. This is a beneficial step to assure you receive the best care for your special dental needs. With your written permission, we will forward your dental records, x-rays and any pertinent information about your dental health. A team approach often provides the best results

Emergency Care

Should you have an unexpected dental concern, please call our office as early in the day as possible so we can arrange for prompt care. We reserve time each day so emergency patients may be scheduled quickly. In case of an after hours emergency, please contact Dr. Merchant (via instructions on the office’s voice mail message).

Billing and Insurance

Dental insurance plans are designed to assist you with the cost of dental care. For your convenience, we will submit your claims to most dental insurance plans and assist in any way possible. We ask that you take care of your portion of the fees for services rendered at each visit. Please note that you are ultimately responsible for understanding your insurance plan and any amount not covered by insurance is your financial obligation. We are always happy to discuss financial options regarding your charges. We accept major credit cards and offer third-party, interest-free financing options.
